Wysiadam już, co trzeba wpisać, by obrazki sąsiadowały ze sobą bez marginesów, ślęczę już cały dzień i nic ... kod

http://jsfiddle.net/PgW3m/ tu masz na szybko poprawione samo menu wszystkiego mi się nie chciało.

I jeszcze kilka uwag:
Nie musisz robić osobnego diva żeby dodać tło czy ustawić szerokość strony. Takie coś załatwia się w body {parametry}
Nie korzystaj z <center> tylko centruj w css. Wystarczy zdefiniować szerokość i ustawić margin:0 auto; to załatwi sprawę
Menu zazwyczaj robi się w <ul> <li>
